MARKET ACCESS COMMITTEE

Since March 2018, the Market Access Committee provides a platform for monitoring trends and opportunities with regards to innovative market access models and advancing the uptake of these pilot models across the EU Member States, hence, supporting COCIR members in understanding reimbursement process and support their business needs (e.g. digital health solutions).

This Committee also monitors ongoing discussions on HTA.

The key priorities are as follows:

• Contribute to strategic discussions on reimbursement of Digital Health Solutions. This includes knowledge building and mapping of national experience cfr. digital health solutions reimbursement;
• Monitor developments on the EC proposal on EU cooperation on HTA and ensure the COCIR members’ technologies’ portfolio remain out of scope. Please read HERE  the COCIR position paper from April 2018

COCIR ACTIVE SINCE 2010 IN EUNETHTA INITIATIVE

DG SANCO created this initiative in order to bring National Agencies on HTA together. In addition a Stakeholder forum was created in order to channel the voice of other key stakeholders, inlcuding industry. COCIR has been a full industry member of the EUnetHTA JA 1 Stakeholder Forum and since then, have been actively contributing in the work of the Forum. Experts were nominated in the Stakeholder Advisory Groups (SAG) of the WP4 on core HTA and the WP7 on new technologies.

COCIR continues to be active within EUnetHTA initiative, and is currently examining how best to contribute to Joint Assessments (JAs).
