COCIR supports the European Commission proposals on next EU MFF 2021- 2027, more specifically the  Horizon Europe, Digital Europe , and Cohesion and Values, and encourages policy-makers in their efforts to make the right investment choices towards the health components and increase its support towards the European medical technology industry – one of the most innovative industry sectors in Europe.

In order for the health sector to fully enjoy the benefits of this initiative, COCIR is happy to share its preliminary  recommendations to ensure each of these programmes (Horizon Europe , Digital Europe,  Cohesion and Values) allows the European citizens to benefit from innovative medical and digital health solutions. In addition, while investing in innovative technology solutions, it will contribute to economic growth and jobs in EU countries.  

Those different funding programmes are under active discussions between EU Commission, Parliament and the Council. COCIR will continue to closely monitor and share their perspective to hopefully contribute to the best funding and investment opportunities for the medical and digital health industries in Europe.
