The COCIR guide on EU Structural and Investment Funds (ESIF) 2014-2020 for healthcare projects in Polish language was presented on 26 June during a successful press conference in Warsaw organised in partnership with Polish Confederation Lewiatan.
At the conference, representatives from COCIR (Daniel Okninski, Operations Manager, District Poland and Baltics, Philips Healthcare) and Lewiatan (Jakub Wojnarowski, Deputy Director) outlined how the COCIR guide contributes to raising awareness of Polish organisations and help them apply for EU Structural and Investment Funds and obtain co-financing for their healthcare projects.
Representatives of the Polish Ministry of Health (Michal Kepowicz, Director for EU Funds) and the Polish Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development (Marta Lesniak, Deputy Director of Coordination Strategy and Development Policy Department) also delivered updates on the investment plans of Poland within healthcare priorities under ESIF 2014-2020. Mr Kepowicz presented general concept of Polish Healthcare Policy Paper which is a baseline for ESIF prioritisation and structuring in Poland. Ms Lesniak briefed current status of Polish Operational Programmes preparation, which has been submitted to the European Commission under EU 2014-2020 framework negotiation procedure. Their presence showed that COCIR is more and more strongly recognised by Polish central government.
Besides the speakers, this press conference was also attended by both COCIR and Lewiatan members, including Toshiba, Philips, GE, AGFA and others and 7 Polish journalists from national newspapers including Gazeta Wyborcza, Dziennik Gazeta Prawna, Swiat Lekarza, Polska Agencja Prasowa.
