Role
COCIR is looking for a motivated Event Management Intern to join our team! This internship offers hands-on experience in organizing high-level events, conferences, meetings, and workshops in Brussels and internationally, while contributing to COCIR’s objectives and providing exposure to diverse stakeholders.
You will support COCIR’s work in planning and executing events, meetings, conferences, workshops, and internal working group/committee meetings, reporting to and working closely with the Director of Technical & Regulatory Affairs.
Main responsibilities and tasks
- Plan, organize, and coordinate online and in-person events, such as multi-stakeholder events and conferences, internal meetings, and workshops.
- Assist with meeting logistics, such as venue, catering, room configuration, and related communication. Managing registrations and event management platforms, databases, and mailings.
- Attending and writing reports/minutes of meetings and relevant events.
- Assisting in managing and creating content to enhance our visibility.
- Contributing to the creation of post-event reports and analysis to assess impact and improve future events.
- Assisting in the preparation of presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Support monitoring of EU policy updates (consultations, draft regulations, directives), as appropriate.
- Represent COCIR in relevant external forums as requested.
Profile
Education
- Student or recent graduate in Event Management, Political Science, European Affairs, Law, Communications, Business Administration, or related fields with a strong interest in events.
- Previous experience or a degree in a related field is a plus.
- Interest in the healthcare and medical devices industry.
Experience
- Prior event organization experience is an advantage.
Languages
- Excellent command of English, including writing and proofreading skills.
- Knowledge of French is an asset.
