BRUSSELS – 21 May 2014 – COCIR welcomes Varian Medical Systems Inc.  as its latest corporate member.  Varian is a global manufacturer of medical devices and software for treating cancer and other medical conditions with radiotherapy, radiosurgery, proton therapy, and brachytherapy. In addition, Varian supplies X-ray tubes, digital image detectors and imaging processing software and workstations for X-ray imaging in medical, scientific, and industrial applications.

Varian also supplies industry-leading software systems for radiation therapy treatment planning, as well as informatics software for managing comprehensive cancer clinics, radiotherapy centres and medical oncology practices.
