Care Innovations Becomes New COCIR Member

COCIR, the organisation representing the radiology, electromedical and healthcare IT industry in Europe, today welcomes Care Innovations as its newest member company. Formed through a combination of GE Healthcare's Home Health Division and Intel's Digital Health Group, Care Innovations' objective is to become a catalyst in the transition to future healthcare models. Their unified technology platform with interoperable components deliver products, services and human-centered solutions that give people confidence to live independently and in senior housing communities around the world.
 
In 2011, Care Innovations took part in COCIR's Telemedicine Focus Group and was actively involved on other industry areas of focus, such as data protection and regulatory affairs. The company's management decided to join COCIR, saying, “Care Innovations is interested in the industry communications, thought leadership and service that COCIR offers to its members. By further developing our understanding of the European and global regulatory environment through COCIR, we believe we will be better positioned to meet patients’ healthcare needs of tomorrow.”
 
Nicole Denjoy, COCIR Secretary General said of Care Innovations' membership, “COCIR is delighted to welcome Care Innovations company as they will bring their combined competencies in healthcare and Information Technology. COCIR will continue its efforts to stimulate the expansion of innovation through eHealth globally.”
