Today 23 European health organisations officially launched the Porto Declaration.
The document highlights the value of health and private sector in the framework of the upcoming EU Social Summit 21 under the 2021 Portugal EU Presidency.

Entitled ‘HEALTH SYSTEMS FOCUSED ON PEOPLE AND OUTCOMES - Private health cluster: a reference partner for sustainable health’, the Porto Declaration promotes a value-based patient centred approach to healthcare of quality for all.
To this end, the 23 urge the EU Member States to address demographic, innovation and disease burden challenges and respond to cross-border health threats with inclusive, resilient and sustainable health systems.
