COCIR issued a Position Paper raising its members' concerns about the reference of Machinery Directive (ref. 2006/42/EEC) into the newly published Medical Device Directive (MDD) 2007/47/EC (in article 2(a).  The European Commission since then has issued a "Fiche" which supports some of the COCIR recommendations concerning the enforcement of the new MDD planned for March 2010.
