COCIR also provides the operational support and secretariat of IHE-Europe, an independent non-for-profit association (aisbl) governed by a Co-Chair user and a Co-Chair vendor. IHE has established over the past decade an internationally recognized and well-known methodology focusing on inte

There are two positions to be filled:
COCIR is seeking a full-time Environmental Affairs Manager
She/he will coordinate activities of environmental affairs focus group and Eco-Design Steering Committee and all related activities linked to Environmental Affairs activities (RoHS, WEEE, REACH, EcoDesign, ...). She/He will work closely with the COCIR Secretary General and the Committee Chairs. She/He will monitor developments or initiatives taken by the European Commission, European Parliament or other institutions.
Detailed Profile:
- Environmental Affairs experience (2-3 years desired)
- Lobbying experience (2-3 years desired)
- Excellent negotiation and Communication skills
- Excellent project management skills
- Team worker
- Multi-tasking and Initiative-taking
- Knowledge in working with associations
- Technical and scientific experience
- Regulatory Affairs experience desired
- Language skills (fluent English and French, others would be a plus)
Logistics:

Main activities:
· Draft Minutes, prepare agendas and organize meetings of relevant committees
· Complete specific research on related issues/regulations when needed
· Provide presentation material related to committees & related seminars/workshops
· Provide assistance to committees on provision of position papers and other key documents, drafting according to committees’ indications and final papers prior to overall review and publication
· Develop and maintain close relations with European Commission, European Parliament and other relevant Institutions/Organisations
· Monitor the membership of the attendees to Committees’ meetings and be attentive to members’ expectations
· Contribute to lobby plan, communication strategy and other key deliverables
· Assist COCIR Secretary General to develop membership of COCIR and maintain close contacts with key stakeholders and institutions
· Provide input on relevant articles and regular newsletter/press release

COCIR is also seeking a full-time Communication Specialist
She/he will coordinate communication activities (internal and external). This will include the following tasks: Define, Plan, and execute all Communications deliverables for COCIR. Drive and manage all the following communication channels, in order to support COCIR messages: (i) brochures and related positioning presentations (ii) web site including video and digital tools, (iii) high level events (or conferences), (iv) branding and advertising, (v) public relations: press releases, customer events.
She/He will work closely with the COCIR Secretary General, Committee Chairs and other COCIR Office personnel. She/He will monitor developments or initiatives taken by the European Commission, European Parliament or other institutions.
Main responsibilities:
- Identify the needs and requirement for materials (brochures, web) to support COCIR messages and actions with target audiences,
- Drive and package the COCIR story, to promote and defend the position of its members
- Design communications strategy, and own all deliverables
- Ensure consistent messaging (and branding)
- Put in place advertorial plan, and synchronize with all committee requests
- Align budget and prioritize tasks per committee
- Support COCIR external efforts towards new members and partner organizations (MITA, OECD, Continua, …)
- Daily or weekly feedback with COCIR manager and COCIR staff (for Regulatory Affairs, Healthcare IT, IHE, Environment)
Competencies (skills, knowledge, behaviors)
Degree: Bachelor of Arts (Communications, Marketing, Economy) or Medical background with healthcare communications hands-on experience
Experience: 2-3 years
Languages: English (Native speaker is a plus). French, German, Dutch are optional.
IT-knowledge: Basic skills needed (Powerpoint, Excel, etc…)
Technical skills: Communications skills: copywriting, branding, messaging, event organization, training.
Soft skills: good inter-personal skills needed
Specific skills / other: analytic skills in general: ability to extract USP’s, build communication plans, Communicate effectively using multiple channels (brochures, web, press releases, events, …)
