FHI Boosts Dutch Membership of COCIR
BRUSSELS – 5 July 2010 – COCIR, the European Coordination Committee of the Radiological, Electromedical and Healthcare IT Industry, is pleased to announce that FHI is another new member. FHI (Federatie van Technologiebranches – Federation of Technology Sectors) is a trade association based in Utrecht, the Netherlands.

The FHI represents technology companies in the Netherlands in four sectors: industrial electronics, industrial automation, laboratory technology and medical technology. They have around 800 member companies, to whom they offer tailored services. For the medical technology sector alone, they group together more than 120 producers and suppliers with a collective turnover of 1.6 billion euros.

“We look forward to working with COCIR in an effort to continually improve the services and knowledge we can offer to our own members,” said Luc Knaven, Head of the Medical Technology Branch.

COCIR Secretary General, Nicole Denjoy said “Trade associations are a valuable part of our membership, representing businesses large and small and helping to expand our outreach in the European countries. We are very pleased to partner with FHI.”
