Our Industry

Radiological
COCIR members offer a wide range of systems and solutions for medical imaging purposes, which are essential in delivering quality healthcare.  Medical imaging products include magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), computed tomography (CT), diagnostic ultrasound equipment, nuclear medicine and radiotherapy equipment used in hospitals as well as outpatient facilities and doctors’ surgeries.

Electromedical
COCIR members also produce electromedical devices which are used in a wide range of medical applications. These products include patient monitoring equipment for use in intensive care units, anaesthetic and respiratory equipment as well as electromedical equipment used in surgical interventions. Increasingly, such products are being used in the home environment, e.g. personal heart monitors used for remote and mobile cardiac monitoring, giving at-risk patients more freedom in managing their condition.

Healthcare IT Industry
Healthcare IT solutions are becoming more and more important for improving the efficiency and quality in healthcare.  Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS) as well as departmental and enterprise information systems make full use of the possibilities offered by modern digital medical equipment. Interoperability between medical devices which generate medical data and the healthcare IT solutions which store and communicate this data is the most important building block for the creation of electronic patient records (EPR).

Hospital information systems (HIS) and other departmental solutions will make patient care more reliable and facilitate the transfer of patient information throughout the healthcare system.
